Shed hunting
Scent tracking
Our shed hunting/scent tracking program lasts from 1-3 months. (If your dog has been through force fetch prior to coming to us the time will be significantly less). We will train you dog to retrieve antlers or find lost game. Training will include force fetch and hold training which progresses to "find it" and then to getting out in front of the owner and searching for the desired object. We start with artificial soft tipped antlers to begin with in order to prevent injury and diversion when you dog is learning to pick up sheds. When scent tracking, we will drag a scented object or hide though different terrain. Your dog will learn to get out and follow scent to the object.
